MINNEAPOLIS – The Texas A&M men's and women's diving teams continued competition at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships Wednesday, as an additional Aggie qualified for NCAA Championships to join the four that tallied their second qualifying score today on the women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter.
All three Aggies that made it to the final on the 3-meter punched their ticket to the NCAAs with top-nine scores. With an impressive performance in the second session, Victor Povzner led the trio, placing third with a score of 774.75. Rhett Hensley finished seventh as he recorded a 746.75. Takuto Endo's strong start saw him finish third in the prelims, which positioned him to qualify with an eighth-place score of 745.25.
Alyssa Clairmont and Joslyn Oakley both notched NCAA qualifying scores for the second time this week as they competed on the 1-meter. Placing among the automatic qualifying top-nine spots was Clairmont with a score of 585.85 in eighth.
