Schlossnagle, who was selected for the honor due to his commitment to childhood cancer research and activism, will be presented the award at the Turn It Gold Gala in Houston on January 27. The Turn It Gold foundation fights for the voiceless youth in pursuit of elevating childhood cancer awareness and generating bold action through online story sharing, events, and media with the hopes to change the percentage of dollars invested in childhood cancer research and make a real difference for a cure.
Â
The 2024 season will be the third year Texas A&M baseball has teamed up with Turn It Gold. The Aggies have raised over $30,000 for the foundation the last two seasons and will once again host a Turn It Gold Weekend in 2024. Turn It Gold has also teamed up with Aggie soccer for the last 10 years, including raising over $60,000 the last four seasons.
