On play the day's action...
"Getting started in the spring, especially coming off the week of cold and rain you we had, you can expect a little rust. I knew we'd get better every day. We did better in the morning than the afternoon and I expect us to do things better tomorrow. This is a talented bunch of guys. We're just not doing the fine things that it takes to post the scores we need to compete with some of the teams like Arizona on their home course and ASU (Arizona State) that's been down here a lot or New Mexico who plays down here a couple times a year. They're good teams that are familiar with this place. We've done a nice job of doing some things, but we haven't been able to score the golf ball as efficiently as we need to. We talked about that and we'll do it better tomorrow. We are doing some things really well, but need to be more efficient around the greens.
On Daniel Rodrigues' start in the second round...
"Dani had a really nice run there in the beginning of the second round and got some puts to fall. He did a really nice job in the morning, too, but probably didn't capitalize on some of his shots as much as he could have. It was good to see those putts fall this afternoon and he's put himself in position to have a really nice golf tournament. He's helping us out. We need those good scores because they (the field) are shooting low ones out here this week."
