No. 11 Aggies Return Home To Face SMU

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The 11th-ranked Texas A&M women's swimming & diving team returns to Aggieland Feb. 2 for its final dual meet of the season against SMU at 5 p.m. at the Rec Center Natatorium. The team will honor its 12 seniors prior to the meet and will also recognize head coach Steve Bultman in the final dual meet of his career.

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The 11th-ranked Texas A&M women's swimming & diving team returns to Aggieland Feb. 2 for its final dual meet of the season against SMU at 5 p.m. at the Rec Center Natatorium. The team will honor its 12 seniors prior to the meet and will also recognize head coach Steve Bultman in the final dual meet of his career. 

The Maroon & White are seeking their 10th dual meet victory of the season. The Aggies are coming off a 171-126 victory against No. 25 LSU in Baton Rouge where they notched the top time in 11 of 14 swimming events.  

The 200 medley relay team of Miranda Grana, Bobbi Kennett, Olivia Theall and Chloe Stepanek kicked off the meet with a victory, clocking a time of 1:39.30. Theall dominated the butterfly events, touching the wall first in the 100 (53.51) and the 200 (1:58.96). Grana was also successful in backstroke competition with top finishes in the 100 (55.01) and the 200 (1:57.80). 

The Aggies swept the top three spots in the 1000 free with Abby Grottle finishing first (9:55.79), and Rachel Love not far behind with a 9:56.34. Hayden Miller claimed third place with a time of 10:15.04. Love added a top time in the 500 free, clocking a 4:53.21, and Miller would finish shortly after at 4:57.77. 

On the diving end, Joslyn Oakley placed second on both springboards, scoring 292.95 on the 1-meter and 320.33 on the 3-meter. 

The Mustangs are 4-2 in dual meet competition this season, most recently adding wins over North Texas and Tulane in a quad meet that also included Rice. The Aggies were triumphant last season against SMU, winning by a score of 176-113.
