WACO, Texas– Texas A&M equestrian standout Maggie Nealon has been named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Flat Rider of the Month for January, the organization announced Wednesday.
Nealon exploded out of the gate to start the second half of the season by earning Most Outstanding Performer as the Aggies swept Dartmouth 10-0 to move to 6-1 on the season. Her score of 96 was a personal-best and tied current assistant coach Rachael Hake's all-time school record in Flat, which was set in 2017.
Nealon has posted an impressive 4-0-3 record this season and will look to continue her success this Saturday as the Aggies host No. 4 South Carolina at 1 p.m. at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.
