No. 12 Women’s Golf Preps for Moon Golf Invitational

MELBOURNE, Fla. - The No. 12 women's golf team is set to take part in the 2024 Moon Golf Invitational at the Suntree Country Club Feb. 17-20.
 
The Aggies will begin play on Saturday after being originally scheduled to start on Sunday. However, predicted heavy rain is in the forecast for the original start date of Feb. 18, so the field will play the first nine holes of the first round on Saturday.
 
If weather allows, the remaining portion of the first round will be played on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday will go on as scheduled.
 
Head coach Gerrod Chadwell will be bringing a lineup of Adela Cernousek, Blanca Fernández García-Poggio, Jennie Park, Cayetana Fernández García-Poggio and Mia Nixon. The Aggies are fresh off a fourth-place finish at the Puerto Rico Classic where Blanca Fernández García-Poggio tied for third on the individual leaderboard.
 
The Aggies will tee off at 1 p.m. for the first nine holes of the first round on Saturday with a shotgun start. Live stats can be followed here. Additionally, there will be a live stream of the tournament that can be watched here.
