SAN DIEGO – Texas A&M starting pitcher Emiley Kennedy tossed a complete game shutout against San Diego State, 1-0, to give the Aggies their fourth win at the Campbell/Cartier Classic Saturday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.

Kennedy (4-0) threw 7.0 scoreless innings, while limiting the Aztecs to only two hits and two walks. The seven-inning complete game shutout marked the second of her career and first since she tossed a seven-inning no-hitter at No. 21 Baylor on March 4, 2023.

In her three appearances at the Campbell/Cartier Classic, Kennedy has fanned 19 batters and allowed only one run in 14.2 innings of work, while registering two complete game wins and one save.

Texas A&M (8-0) scored the deciding run in the top of the fourth when Allie Enright laced a two-out double down the right field line as Trinity Cannon turned on the afterburners to score from first base. San Diego State (4-4) threatened late in the game before Kennedy slammed the door shut stranding a pair of Aztecs in the sixth inning and one on third base in the final frame.
