CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The No. 9 Texas A&M women's tennis team dropped a heartbreaker against the Miami Hurricanes, 4-3, Friday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

Miami was the aggressor in doubles play, taking court 3 to move into position to clinch. The Aggies answered back on court 2, with Nicole Khirin/Lucciana Perez taking down Antonia Balzert/Leonie Schuknecht (6-3). Knotted at one, No. 3 Mary Stoiana/Mia Kupres clinched the advantage with a victory over Xinyi Nong/Isabella Pfennig (6-4).

In singles play, No. 26 Kupres made quick work of Anotonia Balzert (6-0, 6-1) to double the Aggie lead. The Hurricanes closed the gap, taking courts 5 and 6. With the three remaining courts all in a third set, Perez claimed court 4 over Leonie Schuknecht (3-6, 6-1, 7-5). Miami ultimately regained control on courts 1 and 2, taking the match (4-3).
