AUBURN – The 11th ranked Texas A&M women's swimming & diving team added a pair of NCAA A-cut times and sent Mayson Richards to the 3-meter final to kick off action at SEC Championships at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center Tuesday evening. At the end of day one for the women, the Aggies sit in sixth place, totaling 129 points.Â
The Maroon & White's 200 medley relay squad of Miranda Grana, Bobbi Kennett, Olivia Theall and Chloe Stepanek registered a season-best time of 1:35.87 to begin competition, placing sixth. Â
Stepanek, along with Jordan Buechler, Katie Walker and Abby Grottle recorded the team's second A-cut time of the night in the 800 free relay, clocking a 6:59.96 and touching the wall fourth. Â
Richards represented the Aggies in the 3-meter final, placing seventh with a score of 292.90. Additionally, Payton Props added points in prelims scoring 259.80 and finishing in 19th place.Â
SEC Championships action continues Wednesday with relay and individual swimming competition. The meet will be streamed on SEC Network+ and live results can be found on the Meet Mobile app.Â
