Props Named to SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M senior diver Payton Props was named to the 2024 SEC Women's Swimming & Diving Community Service Team, announced by the league office Tuesday. The Community Service team highlights a student-athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.

BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M senior diver Payton Props was named to the 2024 SEC Women's Swimming & Diving Community Service Team, announced by the league office Tuesday. The community service team highlights a student-athlete from each league school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.

Props has devoted her time to Rev'ved Up to Read where she volunteered to read to elementary school students in the Bryan-College Station area. In 2022 & 2023, Props participated in The Big Event, which is the largest one-day student-run service project in the nation where students spend the day around Brazos County helping those in need with house repairs, painting and lawncare among many other similar tasks.

Along with being a student-athlete, Props served as a peer mentor for Texas A&M's First Year Experience Hullabaloo U Program and completed the Brand U Professional Development program in the fall of 2023. The diver has also served as a former Traditions Night Huddle Leader.

Props will graduate this spring with a degree in community health and a minor in psychology, with plans to attend audiology school. The Lubbock, Texas, native has earned CSCAA Scholar All-America Honorable Mention accolades, while also being a member of SEC and Athletics Director Academic Honor Roll.
