AUBURN – Texas A&M's Alex Sanchez made his second trip of the week to the podium and took down his own school record to highlight day five of SEC Swimming & Diving Championships for the Maroon & White at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center Friday. The Aggies sit in fifth entering the final day of competition with 757.5 points.Â

Sanchez started the day by lowering his own school record from earlier this season with a time of 51.19, and later went in at 51.26 in the final to secure the silver medal.Â

Clocking a career-best in prelims, Lane White again dropped time in the 100 breast final to go 52.55, the seventh-fastest time in program history, and finish 12th. Logan Brown wasn't far behind in 15th with a time of 53.05.Â

Tyler Hulet registered the fourth-fastest 100 back time in program history, going 45.87 to finish atop the C-final and Thomas Shomper added a 14th-place finish after going a season-best 46.59.

Clayton Conklin and Trey Dickey got the evening session started in the 200 fly as Conklin placed seventh with a time of 1:42.57 and Dickey added a 12th-place finish and lowered his personal best for the second time on the day, going 1:43.90.Â

Rhett Hensley closed out diving with a fourth-place finish on the platform, posting a score of 367.20. Matthew Aigner added points for the Aggies on the platform, placing 15th with a score of 271.40 in the consolation final.Â

The 400 medley relay team of Baylor Nelson, Sanchez, Connor Foote and Collin Fuchs finished the night placing fourth with a time of 3:04.72. Fuchs' 100 free split time of 41.88 is the third-fastest in program history.Â
