Taylor Named to SEC’s All-Tournament Team for Second Straight Year

Wade Taylor IV earned a spot on the SEC's All-Tournament Team after scoring a tournament-best 82 points while leading the Aggies to the semifinals for the third straight season, the league announced on Sunday.

NASHVILLE – Texas A&M's Wade Taylor IV earned a spot on the SEC's All-Tournament Team after scoring a tournament-best 82 points while leading the Aggies to the semifinals for the third straight season, the league announced on Sunday.

Taylor, from Dallas, averaged 27.3 points against Ole Miss, Kentucky and Florida and tallied 30-point efforts against Kentucky (32) and Florida (30). He also led the tournament with 14 3-pointers, which tied for the second most in SEC history behind the 18 by Auburn's Bryce Brown in 2019. Taylor hit 16-of-17 free throw attempts and also ranked among the tournament leaders with 11 assists.

It's the second straight season that Taylor has earned All-Tournament honors. He is the first Aggie to earn All-Tournament in consecutive years since 2009 Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame inductee Winston Crite did it in three straight years from 1985-87.

Joining Taylor on the All-Tournament Team were: MVP Johni Broome (Auburn), Josh Hubbard (Mississippi State), Walter Clayton Jr. (Florida) and Chad Baker-Mazara (Auburn).
