WACO – The Texas A&M soccer team plays a pair of mini-matches against Baylor and UIW in Saturday's exhibition action at Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field.
The Maroon & White open action with their first 60-minute contest against host Baylor at 1 p.m. After a short break, the Aggies play UIW before heading back home.

The Maroon & White wrapped up the 30th winning season in 31 years of the program in 2023. The Aggies posted a 10-8-4 record, playing in their 28th NCAA Tournament in the last 29 years and advancing to the second round for the 24th time in the last 26 years – a mark eclipsed only by North Carolina.
Texas A&M returns 19 letterwinners from the 2023 campaign, including eight players who started at least 50 percent of last season's 22 matches. The returnees account for xx of the Aggies' xx goals from last season. Texas A&M welcomes back All-SEC performers Carolyn Calzada and Mia Pante. Other key returnees include former SEC All-Freshman performers Adysen Armenta, Quinn Cornog and Margo Matula.
The Aggies opened the spring with wins over Dallas Baptist (2-1) and Houston (3-0) before heading on spring break. A trio of Aggie transfers combined for two goals and three assists. Shae O'Rourke tallied one goal and two assists while Kennedy Clark scored a penalty kick and Leah Pirro added an assist. Pante also contributed two goals and Macy Matula add one.
Baylor finished 9-7-3 in 2023, including a 4-4-2 record in Big 12 play. The Bears welcome back their top scorers from last year. Ashley Merrill tallied 25 points on 12 goals and one assist. Tyler Isgrig notched 21 points on six goals and nine assists. Starting goalkeeper Ashlee Zirkel also returns with a 1.48 goals-against average and a 6-4-2 record from 2023.
UIW posted a 6-8-2 mark in 2023 with a 3-6-1 Southland Conference ledger. The Cardinals are led by fifth-year standout Sierra Wannamaker who registered nine points on four goals and one assist.
Saturday is the second of five spring playing dates for the Aggies. They also host Texas Southern Tuesday, April 2 for an 8 p.m. bout and TCU Sunday, April 7 for a 2 p.m. match. The Maroon & White wrap up the spring session in San Marcos with mini-matches against Texas State and A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday, April 13.
