WACO - The Texas A&M equestrian team collected 27 NCEA All-Academic honors from the National Collegiate Equestrian Association, as announced by the organization Wednesday.
Brooke Brombach, Cori Cansdale, Ellie Gerbrandt, Mattie Gustin, Millie Landon, Alexa Leong, Emmy-Lu Marsh, Hanna Olaussen and Devon Thomas were named to the NCEA All-Academic First Team. To qualify for first team honors, a student-athlete must compete in a minimum of 70 percent of the team's meets, while maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the fall and spring semesters.
Lauren Hanson, Keesa Luers, Rylee Shufelt and Devan Thomas garnered NCEA All-Academic Second team honors, which required competing in a minimum of 60 percent of the team's meets, while keeping a 3.25 GPA for the fall and spring semesters.
Gracie Casebolt and Maggie Nealon earned a spot on the honorable mention team, which required riders to compete in 50 percent of the meets and maintain a 3.0 GPA for the fall and spring semesters.
NCEA Academic Honor Roll mentions were awarded to those with a cumulative GPA of a 3.25 in the fall and spring semesters. Texas A&M featured 25 student-athletes on the list.
