GAINESVILLE – Texas A&M's Kimar Farquharson claimed the men's 800m title on the final day of the Tom Jones Memorial Saturday at James G. Pressly Stadium.

Farquharson spearheaded the Aggies' final day of competition, taking first place in the 800m in a photo finish. The Jamaica native crossed the line in 1:46.69, narrowly beating his fellow countryman who finished the race in 1:46.76 while running as a professional.

Auhmad Robinson dropped the first outdoor sub-45 second time of his career in the 400m, as he crossed the line in 44.98 which ranks No. 11 all-time for the Maroon & White. He finished second in the event, with only himself and the event winner going below the 45 second mark this season. Jevon O'Bryant also had a career day, running 45.37 to place eighth. On the women's side of the event, Jermaisha Arnold finished sixth with a time of 50.86. The top-six marks in the event now make up the six-best times in the nation.

The Aggies fellow Jamaican star, Lamara Distin, secured a second-place finish in the high jump, as she leaped 1.92m/6-3.5. Carlie Weiser had a career day in the field, also taking home second in the shot put. She tossed a huge personal best 16.05m/52-8, rising to No. 2 all-time in the Texas A&M history books, while also ranking seventh among freshmen nationally in the event.

The men's and women's 4x400m relay groups logged second and third place finishes among the collegiate teams, respectively. O'Bryant, Cutler Zamzow, Robinson and Farquharson crossed the line second in 3:01.30 which is the Maroon & White's second-fastest time this season. The women's quartet consisting of Kennedy Wade, Jaydan Wood, Camryn Dickson and Arnold placed sixth overall and third among collegians, running a season's best 3:29.03 which ranks No. 4 in the nation this year.

Bailey Goggans jumped a spot in the Aggie record books in the women's 800m after running 2:02.86. The time now ranks her No. 4 all-time. Also on the track, Jaiya Covington qualified for the women's 100m hurdles final ninth overall and climbed up a spot in the final, finishing eighth in 13.18.
