Five Aggies Earn Softball All-SEC Honors

BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M softball's Emiley Kennedy earned All-SEC First Team recognition, Kramer Eschete and Koko Wooley garnered All-SEC Second Team honors, while Rylen Wiggins and Allie Enright were named to the SEC All-Defensive Team, the league announced Friday.
 
Kennedy ranks top three in the SEC in numerous pitching categories, including No. 1 in complete games (20), No. 2 in shutouts (8) and wins (20), No. 3 in strikeouts (173) and saves (5). The left-handed pitcher appeared in 22-of-24 SEC games and played all three games in all but one SEC series. The junior set program records in innings pitched (100.1) and strikeouts (86) in an SEC regular season.
 
Eschete led the Aggies in SEC action in batting average (.311) and hits (19), while her seven steals ranked third in league play. The junior appeared in all 24 SEC games, including 23 starts. Eschete maintained a flawless fielding percentage with 25 putouts and one assist. The transfer from Louisiana garnered her first career All-SEC Second Team honor. 
 
Wooley finished the SEC regular season with eight stolen bases, the second most in league action. The junior led the team in hits (19) and second in batting average (.297), while making 19 starts in during the conference season. Wooley leads the Aggies on the season in overall batting average (.362), hits (46) and stolen bases (18). It marks the second career All-SEC Second Team recognition after earning the honor as a sophomore in 2023.
 
Enright and Wiggins started all 24 games in their respective positions, Enright in right field and Wiggins at second base. After patrolling center field in 2023, Enright maintained the starting right field position and finished with a .976 fielding position with 39 putouts and one assist in SEC play. It marked a career first All-SEC team for the junior. Wiggins earned her third career All-SEC recognition after being named to the All-SEC Freshman team in 2021 and All-SEC First Team in 2023 playing third base. The senior finished the SEC campaign with a .988 fielding percentage with 37 putouts and 45 assists, while yielding only one error. 
 
Texas A&M's five All-SEC honors are the most since the 2018 season when Tori Vidales earned first team and defensive team recognition, while Sarah Hudek, Erica Russell and Ashley Walters were named to the all-defensive team.
