Maichon Earns All-SEC Status

It marked the first All-SEC honor for Maichon who claimed PING All-America Honorable Mention and PING All-Central Region last season.

BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M's Phichaksn Maichon earned All-SEC Second Team recognition after a vote from the league coaches, the conference announced Friday.
 
It marked the first All-SEC honor for Maichon who claimed PING All-America Honorable Mention and PING All-Central Region last season.
 
Maichon ranks 15th in the latest National College Golf Rankings from Clippd. His adjusted scoring average sits at 69.1 while he owns a 761-208-32 mark in head-to-head competition this season.
 
This season, the Bangkok, Thailand native earned his second career collegiate win at the Louisiana Classics. His 18-under 198 performance tied the tournament record. He also finished third at the Aggie Invitational and 14th at the SEC Championship. Maichon also had top 10 performances at the SEC Stroke Play Hosted by Jerry Pate (4th) and the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational (9th).
 
The Aggies return to action Monday with the NCAA Stanford Regional in California. The Maroon & White battled in a 14-team field at Stanford Golf Course with the top five teams advance to the NCAA Championship.
