NCAA Champion Cernousek Makes Cut at U.S. Women’s Open

2024 NCAA Champion Adela Cernousek made the cut at the 79th U.S. Women's Open Championship after finishing the first two rounds at 8-over at the Lancaster Country Club on Friday.

LANCASTER, Pa. – Texas A&M's Adela Cernousek made the cut at the 79th U.S. Women's Open Championship after finishing the first two rounds at 8-over at the Lancaster Country Club on Friday.
 
Cernousek, a junior from Antibes, France, was one of four amateurs to make the cut as the 2024 NCAA Champion carded a 9-over 79 in the second round after firing a 1-under 69 in the first round on Thursday. Other amateurs joining Cernousek in weekend action were Asterisk Talley, Megan Schofill and Catherine Park, all from the United States. Thailand's Wichanee Meechai took a two-stroke lead into Saturday's third round at 4-under after posting a 3-under 67 in the second round.
