Dick, Collins Earn CSC District Writing Contest Honors

Thomas Dick and Brandon Collins from Texas A&M Athletics Communications combined to earn six district honors from among nearly 400 entries in the 2023-24 Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced at its annual convention.

LAS VEGAS – Thomas Dick and Brandon Collins from Texas A&M Athletics Communications combined to earn six district honors from among nearly 400 entries in the 2023-24 Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced at its annual convention.
 
Dick, in his 13th year at Texas A&M, garnered a pair of district first-place finishes and two runner-up efforts in the contest. His winning entries came in the Coach/Administrator Profile with Aggie Hitting Coach Paying Earley Returns and in the Social Justice/Diversity category with A Rising Star. He was also recognized in Season Recap/Preview with Trophy Hunting and Athlete Profile with It's Aschenbeck Time.
 
Collins, in his fifth year in Aggieland, won the Athlete Profile category with Finding Her Way Home and earned a runner-up nod in Event Coverage with GIG 'EM BABYYYY.

District winners advance to the national ballot, with national winners in each of the seven categories to be announced June 12 at the CSC Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.
