OMAHA – Four members of the No. 3 Texas A&M baseball team collected All-America honors from Baseball America Friday morning.
Â
The four selections are the most in the nation and the third time this season the Aggies have garnered four or more All-America honors from a major outlet.
Â
Outfielder Jace LaViolette earned a spot on the first team, while fellow outfielder Braden Montgomery and reliever Evan Aschenbeck garnered second team honors. Starting pitcher Ryan Prager rounded out the All-America selections for the Aggies as the lefty was named to the third team.
Â
For LaViolette, the All-America selection marked his third of the season and second first team honor. The lefty slugger is in the midst of a monster sophomore campaign that has seen him belt 28 homers and drive in 77 RBI, while batting .306.
