BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M Aggies' star midfielder Sydney Becerra earned a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week, the organized announced Tuesday.

Becerra keyed Texas A&M's offensive explosive in the season-opening 5-0 win at Lamar. The Flower Mound, Texas, native notched a career-high five points with her second career brace and an assist. Her first goal in the 16th minute gave the Aggies a 2-0 lead and she added another 10 minutes before the intermission to put the Maroon & White in control.

For her career Becerra has played in 42 career matches with 26 starts. The junior has 28 career points with nine points and 10 assists.

The Aggies return to action Wednesday with their home opener against the Denver Pioneers. First kick at Ellis Field is slated for 7 p.m.
