Women’s Basketball Learns SEC Schedule for 2024-25 Campaign

Texas A&M women's basketball learned its 16-game league schedule from the SEC office Wednesday for the 2024-25 campaign.

BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M women's basketball learned its 16-game league schedule from the SEC office Wednesday for the 2024-25 campaign.

The Aggies begin conference play and the new year at Reed Arena against Tennessee (Jan. 2) and Ole Miss (Jan. 5). January also features two more home games with Georgia (Jan. 16) and Kentucky (Jan. 23) coming to the Brazos Valley.

February tips off with the renewal of the in-state rivalry versus Texas (Feb. 2). The remaining home games features matchups against Missouri (Feb. 9), Florida (Feb. 20) and Arkansas (March 2).

The Maroon & White's away schedule includes games at South Carolina (Jan. 9), Oklahoma (Jan. 12), LSU (Jan. 26), Arkansas (Jan. 30), Auburn (Feb. 6), Alabama (Feb. 17), Mississippi State (Feb. 23) and Vanderbilt (Feb. 27).

The SEC Tournament takes place March 5-9 in Greenville, South Carolina. Under the leadership of head coach Joni Taylor, the Aggies have advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament each of the last two years, including a run in 2023 where they became the first-ever 13 seed to make the quarters.

With the expansion to 16 teams, the league schedule now has only one rotating home and away opponent. This season Arkansas will be Texas A&M's travel partner, while all other teams are played once.

Taylor is entering her third year at the helm of the program. She is fresh off a gold medal as an assistant coach of the United States Women's National Team at the 2024 Paris Olympics and helped guide the Maroon & White to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2020-21 campaign last year.

The SEC tied for the most teams selected to March Madness last year and added Texas and Oklahoma to the league this offseason who both made the Big Dance. The conference also boasts the last three NCAA Champions in South Carolina (2022, 2024) and LSU (2023).

Game times and TV designations will be announced at a date. New season ticket purchases are on sale for the 2024-25 season through the 12th Man Foundation. To see the full schedule, visit 12thman.com.
