WACO – The Texas A&M men's tennis team was a perfect 7-0 on day two of the Waco Fall Kickoff Classic, with three Aggies advancing to the respective singles finals. Both pairs of doubles won matches to advance to the finals.
Sophomore Lathan Skrobarcek took down Imran Daniel Abdul Hazli of Baylor in a two-set victory, 6-2, 6-4. He advances to the final of the silver bracket to take on Ian Bracks of Oklahoma State.
Sophomore Tiago Pires defeated Felipe Pagnacco of Texas Tech , 6-1, 6-4. He is holding on to his claim as the No. 1 seed in the gold bracket and is set to next play No. 2 Marko Miladinovic of Baylor in the finals.
Senior JC Roddick, top seed in the green bracket, triumphed over Timothy Carlsson Seger of Tulsa in a three-set battle, 6-2, 5-7, 6-3. Roddick now faces Tiago Torres of UTSA, who was the No. 2 seed in the green bracket.
In doubles play Skrobarcek/Roddick, the No. 1 seed in the Indy bracket, took down a pair from TCU, 6-1, advancing them to semifinals play. In the semifinals, the duo was up against a pair from Baylor, coming out victorious, 7-6 (5). The pair takes on Tulsa's Seger/Gus Tettamble in the finals.
In the Belle bracket, Ethan Silva/Pires had a bye into the semifinals of the tournament. In the semifinals, Silva/Pires took down a pair from Texas Tech, 6-2, advancing them to the finals against No. 1 ranked duo Alex Okonkwo/Reiya Komagata of Tulsa.
In the consolation bracket of the white draw, Silva rallied to take down LSU's Andrej Loncarevic in a three-set marathon, 4-6, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (5)
