A&M Faculty, Staff Present on Collaboration at NSCA Coaches Conference
Jan 11, 2024 | Sports Science
The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is the largest Strength and Conditioning and Sports Science professional organization in the world. Their annual Coaches Conference is the NSCA’s second-biggest event of the year and focuses on the translation of sound scientific training principles to real world application with athletes.
This year, Dr. Bryan Mann (Clinical Assoc. Prof., Kinesiology & S&C Academic Program Dir.), Bo Sandoval (Assistant AD – S&C), and Scott Battley (Director of SS Service) were invited to the national conference in Orlando to share about the collaborative approach we take here at Texas A&M. Their presentation, titled “How Texas A&M Combines the Research and Practical Application to Enhance Performance” was held on Friday, January 5th and was well received by an audience of coaches, sports scientists, and educators. The NSCA typically makes conference presentations and/or content available as part of continuing education packages so interested parties are encouraged to visit nsca.com to learn more.
The relationship our Performance and Wellness units have with our Kinesiology and Sport Management Department here at Texas A&M is special and we look forward to sharing more about its impact moving forward.
