Garcia Named Jamie Moyer Co-Pitcher of the Year Award

Former Texas A&M student-athlete Brandyn Garcia has been named the Jamie Moyer Co-Pitcher of the Year, which honors the top arm in the Seattle Mariners minor league system.

SEATTLE – Former Texas A&M student-athlete Brandyn Garcia has been named the Jamie Moyer Co-Pitcher of the Year, which honors the top arm in the Seattle Mariners minor league system.
 
Garcia split his 2024 campaign between the Everett AquaSox, the Mariners High-A club, and the Double-A affiliate Arkansas Travelers. The lefty started 25 of the 27 games he appeared in and compiled a 6-2 record to go along with a 2.25 ERA. In 116 innings of work, Garcia struck out 134 batters and held opponents to a .222 average.
 
Through two professional seasons, Garcia has registered a 6-3 record and a 2.21 ERA in 36 appearances. The left-hander played one season for the Maroon & White in 2023, logging 27 appearances in relief. In 43.1 innings of work, Garcia struck out 56 batters for the Aggies.
