Moss Added to Maxwell Midseason Watch List

Texas A&M's Le'Veon Moss has been added to the Maxwell Midseason Watch List, announced by the Maxwell Football Club Thursday. The Maxwell Award is presented annually to the College Player of the Year.

PHILADELPHIA – Texas A&M's Le'Veon Moss has been added to the Maxwell Midseason Watch List, announced by the Maxwell Football Club Thursday. The Maxwell Award is presented annually to the College Player of the Year.
 
Moss has led the Aggie rushing attack ranking second in the SEC and 17th nationally with 101.5 yards per game, while leading the league with 6.9 yards per rush. The junior has totaled 88 carries for 609 yards and ranks fifth in the SEC with six rushing touchdowns. Moss has eclipsed the century mark in three games, while reaching the end zone multiple times in two games. He recently registered career-high rushing yards in consecutive games totaling 117 yards on 13 carries in the win over Arkansas and 138 yards rushing on 12 carries and three scores in the win over No. 9 Missouri. 
 
The Walker, Louisiana, native has rushed for 1,207 yards on 211 carries with 12 touchdowns in his career. He is one of five running backs on the midseason watch, list consisting of 17 players.
 
The Maxwell Award has been presented to the College Player of the Year since 1937 and is named in honor of Robert "Tiny" Maxwell who was a former standout at the Swarthmore College and a renowned sportswriter and football official. This year will be the 88th anniversary of the award. The Maxwell Football Club has once again partnered with Pro Football Focus (PFF) and Phil Steele Publications as selection committee partners. Semifinalists for the Maxwell Award will be announced Nov. 12, while the three finalists for the Maxwell Award will be unveiled Nov. 26. The winners of the 88th Maxwell Award will be announced as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show held on Dec. 12. The formal presentations of the Maxwell Award will be made at the Maxwell Football Club Awards on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia.
