Cernousek Wins Qualifying Stage; Fernández García-Poggio, Szeryk Earn Full 2025 Epson Tour Status

VENICE, Fla. – Texas A&M's Adela Cernousek added to an already accomplished amateur legacy by winning the Qualifying Stage of the 2024 LPGA Q-Series Friday, securing full 2025 Epson Tour Status alongside Aggie greats Blanca Fernández García-Poggio and Maddie Szeryk.
The trio of Aggies earned full Epson Tour status for the 2025 season after finishing within the top 35 of the Qualifying Stage. They earned category C status for the Epson Tour and will be moved to category D if they choose not to compete at the Final Qualifying Stage Dec. 5-9.
The tournament was 72 holes of action played at the Bobcat and Panther Courses at the Plantation Golf and Country Club. Cernousek torched the leaderboard and qualified comfortably with a 14-under 274 through 72 holes. The Antibes, France, native tied for first with Mimi Rhodes who played her college golf career at Wake Forest (2021-24).
Szeryk and Fernández García-Poggio shot a 4-under 284 and tied for 31st to secure their places in the cut by one stroke.
Cernousek is the reigning NCAA Individual Champion and is in the midst of her senior season at Texas A&M. She is slated to return to college competition at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate in Fort Worth Oct. 28-29 to wrap up the fall season.
Szeryk spent a majority of last season on the Epson Tour and the previous two on the LPGA Tour. Szeryk was a two-time All-American at Texas A&M (2015-18) and still holds the career stroke average record of 71.61 for the program.
Fernández García-Poggio was an All-American and a member of the 2023 Championship team. She had the most victories in match play by an Aggie in program history (11)
Hailee Cooper (2021-23) earned her spot in the Final Stage due to her performance on the Epson Tour this season, finishing 32nd on the "Race for the Card" Leaderboard.
