White Named Ray Guy Award Punter of The Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Texas A&M punter Tyler White has been Named the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week, the Augusta Sports Council and the Ray Guy Award committee announced Tuesday morning.
White wedged four of his five punts inside the 20, while booting three 50-plus yards in Texas A&M's victory over LSU, 38-23. The Tigers' average starting field position following his five punts was their own 13-yard line. White finished the night with an average of 48.4 yards per boot.
The Southlake, Texas, native also garnered SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for his performance against LSU, marking the third time he has earned the weekly award this season. On the year White has punted 26 times with an average of 46.3 yards, while sailing nine 50-plus yards and landing 17 inside the 20.
