Three Aggies Land All-SEC Honors

Sydney Becerra, Carolyn Calzada and Mia Pante earned All-SEC honors as the conference announced its postseason award winners Sunday.

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Sydney Becerra, Carolyn Calzada and Mia Pante earned All-SEC honors as the conference announced its postseason award winners Sunday.
 
All three Aggies claimed spots on the All-SEC Second Team. Pante landed All-SEC Second Team for the third time, but her first as a forward. It marked the second all-league honor for Calzada, a first-teamer last season. Becerra earned her first all-conference award.
 
Pante has started all 18 matches for the Aggies, logging eight points on three goals and two assists. She scored goals against Fairfield, TCU and Oklahoma. Her career numbers include 41 points on 10 goals and 21 assists.
 
Calzada played in 17 matches, all starts on the backline. The Maroon & White posted seven shutouts and a 1.23 goals-against average in matches the co-captain played in. She added two assists on the year. Calzada has played in 53 career matches, all starts as a center back, playing in 21 shutouts. She has five career assists.
 
Becerra leads the Aggies in scoring with 17 points on six goals and five assists. Starting all 18 games in the midfield, she leads Texas A&M with 53 shots and 25 shots-on-goal. The junior has 40 career points on 13 goals and 14 assists in 59 matches.
