Teams competing include Texas A&M, Oklahoma, LSU, Mississippi State, Baylor, Houston, Texas Tech, UT Arlington, UTRGV, UTSA and Iowa State.

The two Aggies making the trip are No. 88 Jeanette Mireles and Lizanne Boyer. Last season, Mireles amassed a 22-12 record in singles and added 14 more victories in doubles. The senior was one of four members to reach double-digit wins (10) in conference play, which ranked as the second-highest total in the conference behind only Stoiana. Mireles was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team and the NCAA All-Tournament Team for doubles.

Boyer concluded her sophomore season with an 8-2 singles record, ending the season on a six-match winning streak. In doubles, Boyer was 7-2. The junior heads into the Rice Invitational on a two-match singles winning streak after picking up three wins at the TCU Invitational.

Matches begin on Friday with doubles starting at 9 a.m. Singles matches will begin shortly after, starting at 12 p.m. Boyer and Mireles will pair to take on Oklahoma's Mester Cara and Emma Ghiradato in doubles at 9 a.m. In singles, Mireles will face Houston's Valeriia Krokhotina while Boyer will battle Houston's Sophie Schouten, both at 12 p.m.
