BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M volleyball team added outside hitter Megan Fitch to the 2025 signing class, head coach Jamie Morrison announced Thursday.
Â
Hailing from San Antonio, Fitch has a proven arm in the state of Texas with over 1,000 kills during her high school career representing Cornerstone Christian. She was named a Max Preps All-American and was added to their high school volleyball player of the year watchlist. Garnering attention from around the volleyball community, Fitch is ranked as the No. 4 player and No. 3 outside hitter in the state of Texas by Prep Dig.
Â
"We value the ability to play the entire game in this program and Megan epitomizes that," Morrison said. "She has a pure platform and can pass the ball as well as most college upperclassmen. I vividly remember matches where she took the hardest attack in the gym and dug it perfectly over and over again. There are other players in the class that bring that ball control but what makes her stand out is her ability to do it at her size. She brings height to the outside hitter position and athleticism that will be fun to watch for years. What fans will notice right away is the joy she plays this game with. It is infectious and spreads to both her teammates and fans alike. You will love watching her play the game and getting to know her."
Â
The 6'2" outside stood out on the club level, where she played for the Alamo Volleyball Association. During her time with the team, she helped lead the club to the 2022 USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship 15 Open title and was also named MVP of the championships. Her standout outings earned her an invitation to the Under Armor Next Camp Series In 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Â
Playing among the best in the nation, Fitch earned herself a trip to the USA Volleyball National Team Development Program in the winter of 2022, spring of 2023 and most recently the summer of 2023. The outside was given the opportunity to test herself and hone her skills with the country's elite in her class.
