Texas A&M Begins Competition at Texas Diving Invite

AUSTIN – The Aggies began competition at the Texas Diving Invite Friday at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center. Rhett Hensley and Else Praasterink led the way on day one, advancing to finals on their respective boards.

AUSTIN – The Aggies began competition at the Texas Diving Invite Friday at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center. Rhett Hensley and Else Praasterink led the way on day one, advancing to finals on their respective boards. 
 
Hensley was the top finisher on the men's side, placing seventh in the final with a score of 343.90 after placing sixth in prelims with a score of 345.70. Leonardo Garcia and Nathan Stone were also in action on day one, finishing 13th and 14th with scores of 292.35 and 290.75, respectively, while Matthew Aigner rounded out the Aggies on the 1-meter with a top-25 score of 223.90. 
 
Praasterink led the way on the women's side, placing fifth in the 3-meter final with a score of 303.30. She advanced to the evening session with a 10th-place finish in prelims with a score of 300.60. Julie Moons added a 17th-place score of 283.10, while Diana Soto notched a score of 225.20 and Bridget Foster had a score of 212.20 to place among the top-35. 
 
The Maroon & White return to action Saturday with the women's 1-meter prelims beginning at 10 a.m., followed by the men's 3-meter prelims at 2 p.m. Finals for the women start at 5:30 p.m. and the men's final will begin at 6:55 p.m. Live results can be found here.
