TEMPE, Ariz. – Mary Stoiana, the reigning Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Player of the Year, was selected for a return trip to represent the USA National Collegiate Team at the Master'U BNP Paribas from Nov. 29-Dec. 1 in Reims, France.

"I am honored to be selected to represent the United States in France this year," Stoiana said. "I'm super excited to return to the Master'U event and give the United States the opportunity to defend our title from last year. It was one of the most enjoyable tennis weeks of my life and I'm grateful for the opportunity to compete there again."

Known as 'The World Event of University Tennis,' the Master'U BNP Paribas Championship is in its 17th year. The tournament welcomes eight nations for several days of high-level competition between many of the top-ranked student-athletes from both NCAA institutions and other university systems around the world. Â Participating nations in 2024 include Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Switzerland and the USA.

At last year's event, Stoiana helped lead the Red, White & Blue with an undefeated run in her matches, 4-0. The United States only dropped one match over the three-day event, finishing 17-1 overall.

This week, Stoiana is one of three Aggies competing in the NCAA Division I Singles Championship in Waco, Texas. She starts her run for the championship Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. with a match slated against UCLA's Katie Fakih.

In limited collegiate action this fall, Stoiana is 6-1. She recently won her first professional circuit singles title with a win at the ITF W75 Edmond Open on Oct. 13.
