BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M volleyball's Logan Lednicky and Ifenna Cos-Okpalla earned All-SEC First Team honors as the league announced postseason awards Sunday.
The Aggies landed two athletes on the All-SEC First Team, as Lednicky receives her third straight all-conference honor, while Cos-Okpalla garnered the first of her career. A&M was one of only four teams in the league to have two players listed on the conferences' First Team and the pair of honors also marks the third-consecutive season with two members of the Maroon & White receiving All-SEC recognition.
Lednicky continued to prove herself as one of the SEC's premier weapons, securing her third-straight All-SEC honor. The junior was named to the Preseason All-SEC Team prior to the start of the 2024 campaign, backing up the recognition with a career high single-season kill total (419) and kills per set average (4.32) which both rank second among opposite hitters in the conference this year. The Sugar Land, Texas, native added 89 blocks on the year, helping her record 475.5 points and average 4.90 points per frame this season which was also good for second for opposites in the league.
Cos-Okpalla proved herself to be one of the best two-way players in the conference, as she was one of only two middle blockers in the SEC to record over 200 kills and 140 blocks on the year. The junior was named to the Preseason All-SEC Team to start the year and delivered on the recognition with a single season career kill record of 208, while hitting at a staggering .378 efficiency. On the defensive side, the Flower Mound, Texas, native stuffed 143 swings this season and recorded a conference-high 13 blocks in the Aggies match versus Georgia, simultaneously tying the A&M program record for blocks in a four-set match.
