BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M men's tennis head coach Steve Denton announced the addition of India's top-ranked junior player, Kriish Tyagi, to the Aggies' 2025-26 roster.
Tyagi, from Bengaluru, India, recently achieved his career high ITF junior ranking of No. 51 after winning the J200 in Fergana, Uzbekistan in early October and the J100 in Harare, Zimbabwe in August.
"We are very excited to have signed Kriish Tyagi," Denton said. "He has been the No. 1 player from India throughout all of his age groups. I know he is a winner. He loves to play tennis and is only going to get better. The work ethic and impact he will bring to our team is most exciting for our coaching staff. Kriish will play in all the junior Grand Slams this coming year. We can't wait to get to work with him next fall."
The 6-foot-1 Tyagi trains as the Harsha Lingappa Tennis Academy in Bengaluru and has won Indian national titles in the under-14, -16 and -18 age groups.
