No. 11 Aggies Add Top Times, Move Into Top Five at SEC Championships

AUBURN – The No. 11 Texas A&M women's swimming & diving team added a number of best times and a pair of top-five individual finishes on day three at SEC Championships Wednesday at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center. The Aggies advanced to fifth place overall with 256.5 points.
The 200 free relay team of Olivia Theall, Kaitlyn Owens, Miranda Grana and Bobbi Kennett began finals with a time of 1:29.61, finishing in 10th place.
Hayden Miller notched a career-best 4:39.16 in the 500 free A-final, placing fifth and fellow distance swimmer Abby Grottle placed eighth, clocking a time of 4:44.80.
Giulia Goerigk was the lone Aggie to compete in the 200 IM final. The sophomore used a late surge to earn 12th place overall and notched a season-best time of 1:58.18.
Chloe Stepanek swam a career-best 22.06 in the prelims to qualify for the A-final. The senior sprinter ended her day with a fifth-place finish with a time of 22.12. Theall (22.53) and Owens (22.74). added more points for the Maroon & White, finishing tied for 19th and 24th, respectively.
