Cottrill Begins Professional Career with Athletes Unlimited

WICHITA – Texas A&M All-American Julia Cottrill starts her professional career with Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball, beginning June 10-25 at Wilkins Stadium.
Cottrill was chosen by Team Leach (Gold) in the ninth round of the series one draft in the 2024 Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball AUX competition. The Wichita, Kansas, native begins play Monday against Team Wiggins (Orange) at 5 p.m. on ESPNEWS, followed by game two against Team Warren (Blue) at 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU. Cottrill is back in action Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. against Team Wiggins on ESPN2, followed by Wednesday's series one closer against Team Warren at 5 p.m. on ESPNU.
Following the conclusion of series one, the top three players on the point leaderboard serve as team captains and the remaining 39 players are released back to the draft pool for the series two draft beginning Friday at 11 a.m. Series two games begin June 16-19, followed by a series three draft on Thursday, June 20 and games starting June 22-25.
Aggies joining Cottrill in the Sunflower State include Texas A&M two-time All-American Tori Vidales (2015-18) entering her fourth season with Athletes Unlimited playing for Team Warren in series one and Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Famer Amanda Scarborough covering the games for ESPN as an analyst.
