
Aggies Earn ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Texas A&M baseball team has earned the American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2023-24 school year, as announced by the organization Wednesday.
This marks the third straight season the Aggies have landed the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award.
Members of the squad compiled a 3.24 cumulative grade point average during the season. The Maroon & White were one of five teams from the College World Series to earn the award, which was presented to programs with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale.
Texas A&M also had 15 student-athletes land on the 2024 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll and 20 earn a spot on the 2023-24 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll.
The Aggies finished the season with a 53-15 mark and advanced to the College World Series Finals for the first time in program history. The trip to the Greatest Show on Dirt was the Maroon & White's second in the last three seasons and eighth all-time. Texas A&M's 53 wins were also tied for the second most in school annals.
