Heidelbaugh and Sadagopan Earn Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar Honors

Duo earns accolade for second straight season.
NORMAN, Okla. – The Texas A&M standouts Michael Heidelbaugh and Vishnu Sadagopan landed Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar recognition, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Thursday.
The duo dominated in the classroom, sporting cumulative GPAs over 3.40. Heidelbaugh and Sadagopan earned the award for the second consecutive season.
Heidelbaugh registered a 72.33 average as a junior, including +1.08 vs. par. He registered five top 20 finishes, including a season-best 14th place effort at the SEC Championship. He also fired a pair of 67 rounds at the Stanford Regional to help propel A&M to the NCAA Championship.
Sadagopan competed in 30 rounds over 10 tournaments during his junior season. He recorded two top 20 efforts with a season-best 12th place result at the Furman Intercollegiate. Sadagopan also landed a spot on the 2024 SEC Men's Golf Community Service Team.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, and individuals must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically. In addition, golfers must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, having a stroke average under 76.0 and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2. A recipient must be of high moral character and in good standing at the college or university.
Texas A&M registered a win at the Louisiana Classics, finished runner-up at the Aggie Invitational and added third-place performances at the Marquette Invitational, Furman Intercollegiate and NCAA Stanford Regional.
