BIRMINGHAM – The Texas A&M women's tennis team is predicted to finish third in conference play by the league's coaches, the SEC announced Wednesday.

The Maroon & White are fresh off their most historic season in program history, where they held a 28-7 record on their way to their first NCAA title and third-consecutive SEC regular season title.

The No. 2-ranked Aggies return five of six starters, including the reigning ITA National Player of the Year, Mary Stoiana.

Georgia was selected to finish first followed by Texas, Texas A&M, Florida and Auburn in the top five.

Texas A&M begins conference play Sunday, Feb. 23 when the Aggies travel to Austin for a match against No. 7 Texas.
