HONOLULU – The No. 2 Texas A&M women's tennis team registered another strong performance on day three at the Weinman Foundation Invitational, posting an 8-1 record, including 6-0 in singles action.

Through three days, the Aggies own a 25-4 record at the event, including 19-1 in singles play.

For the second straight day Lucciana Perez recorded a ranked win in singles action, topping No. 45 Emma Charney of USC, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.

Jeanette Mireles also needed three sets to get by USC's Lily Fairclough, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5.

The other four A&M singles victories came in straight sets. Lexington Reed made quick work of Hawaii's Makeilah Nepomuceno, 6-0, 6-2. Mia Kupres was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over USC's Parker Fry. No. 15 Nicole Khirin topped Hawaii's Nikola Homolkova, 6-1, 6-4. No. 102 Daria Smetannikov was a 6-3, 6-2 victory against Hawaii's Sheena Masuda.

In doubles play, Mireles and Perez outlasted Hawaii's Hannah Galindo and Nepomuceno, 6-4. Khirin and Smetannikov teamed up to defeat Hawaii's Ana Vilcek and Homolkova, 6-3.

The Aggies' lone blemish Friday was a 6-0 loss by Kupres and Reed against USC's Charney and Fry.
