Aggies Ranked No. 7 in Softball America Preseason Poll

The Texas A&M softball team is ranked No. 7 in the Softball America Preseason Poll, the organization announced Monday.

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M softball team is ranked No. 7 in the Softball America Preseason Poll, the organization announced Monday.
 
The Aggies play 27 games against Softball America Preseason top 20 teams, including 11 games against top 10 teams. Texas A&M is set to host 15 games against teams ranked in the top 25.
 
Texas A&M returns 13 letterwinners after finishing the 2024 season with a 44-15 record and its first NCAA Super Regional appearance since 2018. All-American Emiley Kennedy leads the returners, while Allie Enright, Kramer Eschete and Koko Wooley are back in the Maroon & White after earning All-SEC honors a season ago. 
 
Head coach Trisha Ford welcomed 13 newcomers, including nine high school signees and four transfers, including Mac Barbara (San Diego State), Olivia "Ojo" Johnson (Washington), Sidne Peters (Washington) and Grace Sparks (Ole Miss). KK Dements leads the rookies after recently being named to the D100 Freshman Watch List by D1 Softball. Freshman pitchers Taylor Brown (Missouri), Sydney Lessentine (New Mexico) and Kate Munnerlyn (California) each earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors in their respective state in 2024.
 
Texas A&M hosts the Aggie Classic to open the 2025 campaign on Feb. 6 against Utah State at 4:30 p.m. and Purdue at 7 p.m. at Davis Diamond.
