WACO – Former Texas A&M equestrian student-athlete Haley Schoolfield has been named to the 2025 National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Distinguished Alumni list, as announced Thursday.

Schoolfield, who currently serves as the Director of Equestrian at TCU, earned the award for her work in the equine industry as a coach. An original member of the Texas A&M program, Schoolfield competed for the Aggies from 1999-2002 and won the 2001 Open Flat California Spring Classic Championship. After her time in the Maroon & White, Schoolfield joined the coaching ranks as an assistant at TCU for two seasons before earning her first head job at SMU in 2009.

After four seasons at SMU, Schoolfield joined TCU in her current role and has helped elevate the program to national success.Â

The nominees for the award were evaluated based on their distinctive post-graduate success as well as performance in academics, athletics and service activities. Distinguished alumni are recognized in eight categories including business, community engagement, education, equine industry (rider/trainer/coach), equine industry (medical/business), health sciences/services, media & communication and young alumni.
