BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 14 Texas A&M men's tennis team opened the 2025 season with a victory over UTSA, 6-1, at the Mitchell Tennis Center on Saturday.

Texas A&M (1-0) had an early advantage against the Roadrunners (0-1) securing the doubles point with Matthis Ross/Tiago Pires taking down Ben Chetewy Ungar/Santiago Flyckt on court 5 (6-3). Giulio Perego/Theo Papamalamis secured the doubles point as they beat Danijal Muminovic/Oskar Grzegorzewski.

Striking first in singles was Togan Tokac, making quick work of Flyckt on court 5, 6-2, 6-3.

Luke Casper kept up the momentum on court 2, downing Muminovic to put the Aggies one point away from the win, 6-2, 6-1.

Securing his first singles point as an Aggie and the win for Texas A&M was Papamalamis on court 1, taking down Tiago Torres, 6-4, 6-2.

Claiming the fifth point for the Maroon & White was Ritesh Patil, who won his first collegiate point on court 6 against Chetewy Ungar, 6-3, 6-4. Pires secured the last point of the day for the Aggies, taking down Miguel Alonso, 7-5, 6-2.

The Roadrunners took home the last point of the night with a tie-breaker battle on court 4 between senior Perego and Grezgorzewski, ultimately ending in their favor, 7-6(4), 4-6, [10-7]. Â Â
