EVANSTON, Ill. – Texas A&M junior Nicole Khirin was named to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships All-Tournament Team.

Khirin was 4-0 in singles action during the tournament, including 1-0 at on court 1 and 3-0 on court 2.

The Rishon LeZion, Israel, native routed TCU's Jade Otway on court 1 of the ITA Kickoff Weekend portion of the tournament, 6-0, 6-4.

Khirin also recorded straight set wins against Megan Heuser of Illinois (6-3, 7-5) in the round of 16 and Alina Shcherbinina of Oklahoma (6-4, 6-3) in the semifinals.

The most rewarding triumph for Khirin came against Eszter Meri of Texas, claiming a 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 slugfest. The victory clinched the quarterfinal match for the Aggies.

Khirin owns a 19-4 record in singles action this season, including making a run to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Individual Singles Championship.

In doubles play, Khirin teamed with Jeanette Mireles to win a pair of ITA matches. They smoked Dharani Niroshan an/Melisa Senli of South Florida in the opening round of ITA Kickoff Weekend and toppled Meri/Sabina Zeynalova of Texas, 7-5, in the quarterfinals.

Texas A&M returns to action Sunday when the Aggies host the No. 16 Pepperdine Waves in a 1 p.m. contest at Mitchell Tennis Center.
