BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 1 Texas A&M baseball team hosts McNeese in midweek action Tuesday night at 6 p.m. from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

The midweek contest marks the 34th meeting all-time between the Aggies (3-0) and Cowboys (2-1). Texas A&M leads the all-time series 28-5 and have won 12 straight. The Maroon & White swept McNeese on Opening Weekend a season ago at Blue Bell Park, outscoring them 31-1.

The Aggies remained at No. 1 in all five major polls after completing a series sweep of Elon in front of a record Opening Weekend crowd of 20,606. With the sweep, the Maroon & White are off to their fourth straight 3-0 start and 10th in the last 11 seasons. Â

Jace LaViolette powered the offensive attack for Texas A&M as the junior belted three home runs and plated seven RBI. Freshman Terrence Kiel II impressed in his Aggie debut, finishing the weekend 4-for-8 at the plate with three RBI, three runs scored and three walks. The rookie's strong performance earned him SEC Freshman of the Week honors.

On the bump, starters Ryan Prager and Myles Patton shined as the duo combined to allow one run over 10 innings of work to go along with 16 strikeouts.
