Women’s Basketball Hosts Florida Thursday Night

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M women's basketball team is set to host the Florida Gators Thursday night inside Reed Arena at 7 p.m.
 
The Aggies (10-14, 3-9 SEC) boast a 9-5 record at home this season. Two of those victories were ranked wins over Ole Miss and Kentucky where the Maroon & White overcame double-digit deficits in both outings.
 
Janae Kent has been leading the team in scoring over the past five games, averaging 11.8 points per game and has scored in double figures four times during that stretch.
 
Texas A&M is No. 24 in the country in blocks per game, swatting 4.7 shots per contest. Lauren Ware leads that effort with 1.9 blocks each night.
 
Florida (13-13, 4-8 SEC) is 2-4 on the road during conference play this season. The Gators are led by freshman Liv McGill who is averaging 16.5 points per game.
