No. 9 Aggies Fall to Pepperdine, 6-1

The No. 9 Texas A&M men's tennis team fell to Pepperdine, 6-1, at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center on Sunday.

MALIBU, Calif. – The No. 9 Texas A&M men's tennis team fell to Pepperdine, 6-1, at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center on Sunday.

Texas A&M (3-1) had a slow start in doubles action against Pepperdine (4-2), losing two doubles matches consecutively to put the Aggies down 0-1.

After losing the first singles point, sophomore Tiago Pires claimed the Aggies only point of the day with a win on court 4 against Lasse Poertner, 6-3, 7-6(4). The Waves responded with four straight wins to clinch the match.

The Aggies stay on the road as they travel to Columbus, Ohio to take on No. 3 Ohio State on Feb. 7.
