Women’s Basketball Preps for Final Road Game of SEC Play at Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE – The Texas A&M women's basketball team prepares for the final road game of SEC play at Vanderbilt inside Memorial Gym at 6:30 p.m.
 
The Aggies (10-16, 3-11 SEC) are led by Lauren Ware who posted a season-high 19 points with six rebounds, three assists and two blocks last game at Mississippi State. Ware is also leading the charge protecting the rim, swatting 1.8 shots per game which is No. 2 in the SEC this year.
 
Sahara Jones paces active players on the roster in points per game (9.5) and rebounds (7.0). She is the shortest player in the SEC to average at least 7.0 boards a game.
 
Vanderbilt (19-9, 6-8 SEC) are led by freshman Mikayla Blakes who is pouring in 23.3 points per game. The Commodores are 12-4 at Memorial Gym this season.
