No. 5 Aggies Fall at No. 2 TCU

The No. 5 Texas A&M equestrian team fell on the road to No. 2 TCU, 11-9, Thursday afternoon at Bear Creek Farms.

BURLESON, Texas – The No. 5 Texas A&M equestrian team fell on the road to No. 2 TCU, 11-9, Thursday afternoon at Bear Creek Farms.

The Aggies (7-5) faced an early 3-2 deficit through Fences despite points from Kate Egan (84) and Alida Treuting (80). Egan garnered her fourth MOP honor of the year and seventh of her career with her ride on Java. In Horsemanship, Kaylynn Heitman (75.5) and Millie Landon (74.5) picked up points for the Maroon & White as they trailed the Horned Frogs (7-3) 6-4 at the break.

Following the half, Texas A&M pulled to within one, 8-7, behind points from Isabelle Gonzalez (70.5), Mattie Gustin (68.5) and Lauren Hanson (70). Despite earning a pair of points in Flat from Maggie Nealon (73) and Devon Thomas (85), the Aggies fell 11-9.

The Aggies return home to the Hildebrand Equine Complex on Saturday, March 8 at noon for Senior Day against No. 1 Auburn.
